My life was so much simpler when I was sketching portrait stills of studio actors and the faces of vintage pinup girls… You didn’t have to worry about getting a good likeness or making people look ugly–you only had to make the sketch good (or at least interesting).
This business of sketching real people–you have to be on your toes. It’s work I tell you.
I did a couple of really crappy sketches from the picture I used as a reference for this sketch. This third one is at least interesting I think.
