Pencil, Derwent Inktense pencils and Brother scanner

As always, my scanner insinuates itself into the sketch in the form of the rays on the left, where I sloshed water around on the paper.

I could have been more careful with the proportions and the tones–but overall I’m pretty pleased with the results.

Charcoal, chalk and colored pencils

I bought a bunch of new pencils yesterday and wanted to try them out. It’s been a very long time since I used any kind of charcoal. I really meant to do this on toned paper and I think it would have been more like what I set out to do. But I’m not displeased with the results on white paper.

Another day, another face. Next.

Pencil, chalk and white Prismacolor

I can’t say as I’ve ever tried to draw a real cat before. They’re more complicated than you might think.
