A Face A Day: 8B Pencil
8B pencil
I tend to draw full on frontal portraits with somber, unemotional expressions. This is a deviation from my norm. The grin–the tilt of the head–the eyes peeking over the glasses–any one of those would be a lot of work. I’m exhausted.

wow. human face is the hardest thing to draw. I can sketch a scenery, cartoon, or any object.t. But a face is really difficult. you have talent!
Thanks so much. 18 months ago I wouldn’t have attempted portraits. But once you set out to learn the skill, the results can be pretty remarkable and gratifying.
